The time of the start of the race is liable to postponement owing to tidal conditions, but the broadcast is not expected to start before 11.30 a.m. and the time will be confirmed in all three News Bulletins on April 3.
Brigadier John Houghton Gibbon is fifty-seven years of age. When at Trinity he twice stroked the Cambridge crew, in 1899 and 1900. The race is rowed over 4t miles.
Oxford's losing sequence is so long - the crew has not won since 1923 - that the question this morning seems to be not 'Will Oxford win?' but 'Can Oxford win?' At the moment, since the race was instituted in 1829, Cambridge has won forty-six times, Oxford forty times, and there has been one dead-heat.
With the help of the aerial photograph on page 10, and the expert commentary of Brigadier Gibbon, listeners will be able to follow the race in detail.

Hitherto this event has always been held at Brooklands, but this year for the first time it goes to the famous Derbyshire racing circuit, Donington Park. The course, 255 miles long, and divided into one hundred laps, is situated in the parklands surrounding the beautiful and historic Donington Hall. There will be approximately thirty starters. A plan of the course will be found on page 11.

Hetty King, with her robust male impersonations, was ever a popular top of the bill, and it is England's loss that in recent years she has appeared so seldom in this country. She is already planning another world tour, though she returned only recently from South Africa.
Edgar Sawyer joined Murray Ashford's concert party at Scarborough in 1928, and that was the start of their double act. They appeared together at the Spa Theatre, Scarborough, for six years, and show regularly every winter in London and all over the country.
Gaby Valle has been a member of the British National Opera Company, and last autumn created the title role in the Cornish opera lernin, which had a big reception in Penzance and then at the Lyceum, London. She has broadcast from every station in the country.
Among other acts to be heard tonight are Warner and Darnell, who have won increasing popularity in the year they have been together; James Pickard, who was in the film Dance
Band; and Horace Kenney, of ' The Trial Turn ' and Arcadians fame, who must be the most lugubrious comedian alive.
