Cup-Tie Eye-Witness Accounts
Swansea Town v. Stoke City
Everton v. Grimsby Town
Tottenham Hotspur v. Manchester City
The Third Round of the Cup-Ties was played today. The big clubs have come in for the first time, but their matches have not necessarily been chosen for this evening's eye-witness accounts, but rather matches that have an interest tor different parts of the country as well as for followers of teams outside the First Division ot the Football League.
The match between Everton and Grimsby Town will be reported by Ivan Sharpe , who gave a sports talk on ' Football Tactics ' on November 3, while the eye-witness account of the Tottenham Hotspur match will be given by our old friend, Charles M. Buchan. The ' Spurs have drawn the Cup-Tic winners two years in succession. Last year they beat Everton. Have they beaten Manchester City today ?

Conductor, STANFORD ROBINSON
Iolanthe was the seventh of the Savoy series of operas in order of production, and followed immediately upon the successful run of Patience, of which over 400 performances had been given. Indeed, all the Gilbert and Sullivan operas had phenomenally long runs, Iolanthe, for example, holding the Savoy stage for more than a year. Sullivan by this time was already a very popular public figure. He had been tor three years Director of the newly-founded Royal College of Music, he had recently succeeded Costa as conductor of Leeds Festival, and within a few months from the beginning of the Iolanthe run he was to be knighted.
