Reginald Coupland, Beit Professor of Colonial History in the University of Oxford
Professor Coupland met Gandhi on several occasions when he was visiting England for the Round Table Conference some years ago. In the course of his talk, which will naturally deal with Gandhi the politician, he will also describe the impression made upon him by Gandhi the man -as he sat, for example, surrounded by undergraduates at Oxford, answering their questions with deadly point yet unfailing good humour.

Matthew Norgate
Matthew Norgate has been BBC film critic since last October, has written on films, radio, and the theatre for the last seven years, and will be remembered by many for his weekly column on London cabaret life while he was on the editorial staff of the Evening Standard, from 1934 to 1939.
He started life as a junior clerk at
£1 a week in a publisher's office and gave it up for the stage, making his debut with the Birmingham Repertory touring company. From 1924 to 1929 he was Secretary to the Stage Society, and during this time both The Man with the Load of Mischief and Journey's End were produced. He was also Secretary to the Phcenix Society, which produced seventeenth-century plays. He has filled every rôle in the theatre from call-boy to manager.
