Tribute: John Peel Tribute 10.00pm BBC2
Radio Times readers need no reminding of how much John Peel will be missed. For nearly a decade his dry and often personal column was one of the most loved parts of this magazine. But it's as an iconic broadcaster that he'll be best remembered, perhaps the only voice that could ever be equally at home on Radio I and Radio 4.
Final details of this tribute are yet to be confirmed as RT goes to press, but it will include excerpts from 1999s John Peel Night celebrating his 60th birthday, including the documentary Turn That Racket Down. No doubt priceless clips of the plummy young Peel as a DJ in the States will be played one more time. (DB)
