In the third of four new programmes from the series exploring the history of stately homes, Dan Cruickshank, Carenza Lewis and Anna Bennett take up the challenge of saving a ruinous villa four miles outside Calcutta, once home to the legendary Clive of India.

All that remains is a shell of a building that only hints at the structure's past glories. As the team explore further, it emerges that Clive pioneered a form of design that fused classical and Indian architectural styles. However, the significance of Clive's house turns out to be much greater than the team could ever have imagined.
