In tonight's insight into 19th-century life, Dan Cruickshank examines how Victorian society confronted the issue of death by piecing together the fate of five seemingly unrelated corpses. His detective work uncovers bodysnatching, overflowing inner-city graveyards and lavish cemeteries. He also explores the Victorian resistance to cremation, and changing attitudes following the Great War.
