Satirical comedy, second of this week's two films directed by and starring
Charles Chaplin. Following a peasant revolt in his tiny kingdom, an impoverished king moves to fifties New York. Though he is quickly besieged by title-seeking benefactors, he must struggle to find his way in a city buzzing with modernity and haunted by the spectre of communism.
