Exotic Herbs. East meets west in this week's programme as lemon grass, curry leaves, kaffir lime and basil are used in a range of dishes. Lemon grass enhances a tomato sauce and a syllabub pavlova containing mango and passion fruit; holy basil features in stir-fried noodles with prawns and shitake mushrooms; and kaffir lime leaves are used in a chicken and pineapple curry.

Many Brits go to Amsterdam for a few days of hedonistic indulgence, but some never leave. Modern Times portrays Dawn Smith, a wife and mother from Yorkshire who moved to Amsterdam 18 years ago to escape an unhappy marriage.
