Over 30 years ago, German wildlife film-maker Eugen Schuhmacher set off around the world to film for posterity creatures that he believed were on the verge of extinction. This two-part documentary shows his footage - entitled The Rare Ones - and returns to the original locations to discover how the species have fared in the meantime.
