The Discovering Latin America season continues with this Cuban film set in the late 18th century.

A rich plantation owner decides to demonstrate his spiritual grace and his concern for his slaves by inviting 12 of them to dinner on the eve of Holy Week. Unfortunately, by the end of the meal he is too drunk to inform his overseer of the holiday he has promised them. The slaves revolt and the violence escalates. In Spanish with English subtitles.
