You could say the Equals were the two-tone band. Three blacks, two whites and Eddy Grant 's famous blond wig. From Goldilocks to dreadlocks, from Viva Bobby Joe to Give Me Hope Jo'Anna, Grant has come a long way. He was born in Guyana, brought up in London and now enjoys a paradise lifestyle in Barbados. Times have often been tough, but his talent and fierce independence have earned him his place in the sun as well as total artistic freedom. His musical style cannot be categorised, drawing as it does on rock, reggae and pop influences to name but a few.

Last in a series of six programmes.
Time for some familiar
Italian food cliches - espresso coffee, spaghetti and pizza, all from La Bella Napoli, capital of Campania. But there's nothing cliched about the myriad lamb specialities of Abruzzi or its maccheroni alla chittara with pig jowl sauce.
Nothing, however, proves the individuality of Italy's regional cuisines more than the food of Sardinia.
Valentina Harris freely admits her lack of familiarity with spit-roasted wild boar, kid and cow's innards. But it doesn't stop the Sardinian shepherds having their little joke ...
