AA
Next time your car breaks down or won't start, and the AA says there's a two-hour wait, here's a tip. Tell them you're a doctor or a nurse or a teacher. Say you're a plumber on an emergency call - and you'll get priority. 'It's a good trick', says
Sgt Johnny Towers , who is based at Stanmore, Britain's busiest AA Centre. 'That way they get instant service.'
Today a doctor is locked out of his car. They rush to his rescue. He is a doctor. 'Any patients waiting?', he's asked. 'Well, no ... I'm a doctor of science.' Nice one. On the M4 a member who 'breaks down all the time' waits patiently for help, along with hundreds of other casualties who haven't thought to tell a lie. A series of films about our lives now.
East Side Story
'Mug a Yuppie!' scream the graffiti. It's an extreme view, but there are tensions in the London Docklands. Despite the stock market crash, new residents, many with City connections, continue to flood in. Traditional East Enders feel they are being forced out, but the Government praises Docklands as a model solution to inner-city decay. Tonight two Docklands residents, both 26 years old, tell their stories. Anthony Mayhew , a newcomer, is a well-paid City trader. He likes his new home - it's convenient for work, a good investment, and there's plenty of windsurfing and water ski-ing nearby. Terry Johns , born in Docklands, works in a City ironmonger's shop. He and his wife, Marie, are having their first child. There's little chance of finding a bigger council flat.
The new wealth fosters resentment. And in the shadows lurks the activist group Class War ...

Sarah Sarah is beautiful, intelligent and single -just the sort of woman that Garry fantasises about when blow-drying his hair. Will the old Shandling routine end with the fade-down at the bedroom door, or is an already bruised ego about to suffer again?
