Some facts for you. The successors to Essex will win £17,000. That's for the whole team, not each - there is a limit! Individual match winners get E275 per team, and he of most sixes in the season, and the bowler with four wickets in an innings, on the most occasions, will each collect E400. A Place to Make Music
'There's no more beautiful place, anywhere in the world, in which to make music,' says Andre Previn. Tonight and tomorrow on BBC2, with fellow musicians
Leonard Bernstein , Seiji Ozawa , Kurt Masur , Leonard Slatkin , and a host of internationally acclaimed instrumentalists, composers and singers, Previn takes us to the spacious estate in New
England, the setting for the world's most celebrated music summer-school.
Tanglewood, in the hills of western Massachusetts, with its immaculate lawns fringed with giant pine trees, is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. From all over America and from many countries around the world, young musicians, at the start of their professional careers, compete fiercely for a chance to go to Tanglewood to study the finer points of musicianship.
