Finian McLonergan arrives in America from Ireland with a crock of gold, intending to bury it near Fort Knox in the hope that it will multiply in value. But complications arise in the form of his daughter Sharon's amorous adventures and the arrival of a leprechaun who wants the gold back. All this plus a socially bigotted Senator who turns black!
This enchanting musical, which mixes fantasy with social satire, contains such memorable songs as 'That old devil moon', 'If this isn't love', 'When I'm not near the girl I love' and 'How are things in Glocca Morra ?'
