A maintenance of rhythm, direction, even temper, good fortune, putting stroke and, at all times, good manners, should result in the third-round leader being champion by about five -and 116,000 or thereabouts, better off. Simple really. Everyone, including the commentators, is back for the final round.
Cricket
The John Player League
And there is a tidy sum in cricket these days too. The winners' share in this is £14,000 come September. jim LAKER, CHRISTOPHER MARTIN-JENKINS and PETER WALKER describe play at one, and report progress in the other one-day matches.
Boxing
No, not fighting on television on the Sabbath, just the part where the boxers are weighed, and there are the scales in the studio to prove it. By the way, the kilos belong to FRANK BRUNO , well-known in these parts, and one
JAMES 'BONECRUSHER' SMITH who Mr Lynam has agreed to interview, but handshaking is out. The fight - Bruno v Smith -is at Wembley tonight and on your screens tomorrow.

Siberian cranes dancing, sunbirds sipping nectar, weaverbirds weaving, Asian lions lounging: all these and more are the India of Salim Ali.
In his 87 years he's travelled the length and breadth of the sub-continent, from the peaks of the Himalayas to the sands of Cape Comorin, from the Great Rann of Kutch to the marshes of Bharatpur. Revered as the grand old man of ornithology and conservation, he's done more than anyone living to save the country's wild places and inspire the new generation of Indian naturalists.

1: A Century of Song
The Ducal Palace, Mantua, is the starting-point for this expert series about the 'pop' music of the High Renaissance. With a selection of songs that range from the light, witty and erotic to the passionate and heartfelt, The King's Singers outline the rise in popularity of madrigals and show how they became the rage of Europe. Emma Kirkby and the Consort of Musicke, directed by the series' musical adviser, Anthony Rooley , perform additional examples. The programme also offers a panorama of the 16th century as a prelude to the 'tour' which begins next week in France.

A three-part story of young men whose lives collide in post-war Poland starring Michal Aniol
Andrzej Golejewski , Jan Jurewicz 1: Blood
In early 1945 life in war-torn Poland is a bleak struggle for survival. Food is scarce, the old currency is no longer valid, land is being redistributed. Amid this confusion the ideological certainties and determination of the National Liberation Committee seem very attractive to three young men of totally different backgrounds....
This unusually frank picture of Poland from the inside caused a sensation when it was shown there during the days of Solidarity. Following the lives of ordinary people from 1945 to the overthrow of Stalinism in 1956, this series shows how Communist bureaucracy transforms their hopes and ideals into weary cynicism.
