Wheelbase covers the world of motoring

Three million people in this country pay between £17 and £70 to have a radio in their car and over the next ten years six million more sets are likely to be bought. Will stereo tape players challenge radio for the motorist's money? Are the programmes of a kind drivers want to hear?
Gordon Wilkins and Maxwell Boyd tune-in to the car entertainment boom and discuss with the Managing Director of BBC Radio Ian Trethowan and Commercial radio spokesman Hughie Green what is in the air for motoring listeners in the months ahead.
