Tonight a John Ford film in this new season of outstanding films of the past ten years from the movie capital starring James Stewart, John Wayne with Vera Miles, Lee Marvin, Edmond O'Brien

Produced by Paramount in 1962, tonight's film comes from Hollywood's greatest 'Western' director - John Ford, whose partnership with John Wayne dates back to Stagecoach.
James Stewart plays an Easterner, armed only with his law school training, who sets about ridding the town of Shinbone of a ruthless gunman... the notorious Liberty Valance, played with relish by Lee Marvin.
