For any touring side their first visit to Cardiff Arms Park is always eagerly anticipated. For the Springboks today's match is an extra special occasion. While Cardiff were on tour a couple of years ago, their ability to handle the ball under South African conditions captured the imagination, and their match at Port Elizabeth is still described as 'the greatest club match ever seen in South Africa.'

The Great American Novel
Whaling ships no longer leave Nantucket. Nowadays the ships hunt halibut not whales. But fishing voyages are still hard, long, and lonely; the whereabouts of the fish uncertain, the captain's rule absolute, the crew overworked and potentially restive. This CBS News documentary follows the fortunes of the Seattle on a 1,200-mile trip in the Gulf of Alaska; and passages from Herman Melville's novel (spoken by George Scott) are juxtaposed with the actions and thoughts of the captain and crew of this small Nantucket fishing vessel.
