Carlo, a young Italian chauffeur, arrives to work for the disabled Professor Wynter, and the professor's wife Judith finds in the situation an idea for a new novel. When Carlo reads the manuscript he tries to live out the situation, with some embarrassing results.
Though photographed in black-and-white, viewers with colour sets will be able to see the scenes of Carlo's imaginings in colour.
