An insight into the life of John B. Keane.
"John B. Keane eats too much, talks too much, drinks too much, smokes too much - an extravagant and monumental liar."
That is the self-portrait which John B. Keane drew of himself for this film. He also happens to be the leading modern Irish playwright. Since the economics of authorship do not allow him to live by writing alone, he also runs a pub at Listowel in County Kerry.
