Tonight's play, first seen in January, can claim exceptional authenticity as a human document. Written by an ex-convict, it is about some professional criminals who plan a robbery. Here is a brief glossary of some of the more obscure words and phrases: to straighten - to bribe; to dwell the box - to stay put; a kite - a cheque; a grand £1,000; to knock back - to refuse; porridge - doing time.
