There are 100 million racing pigeons in the world - Britain alone has more than 200,000 'fanciers'. Time Out now plans to enter the sport itself and to race its own pigeons. Reporter Jeremy James buys the pigeons tonight when Outside Broadcast cameras visit Alexandra Palace, London, to pre-view the 'Pigeon Olympiad' which begins tomorrow.
Among the experts he meets is Trevor Parker, the British fancier who has produced the 'world champion' pigeon in the last two Olympiads.
