Edward Seckerson explores the work of Michael John LaChiusa , the prolific composer of Marie Christine and Little Fish and one of the few Broadway writers to straddle the worlds of musical theatre and contemporary opera. Though LaChiusa's name always comes up in any discussion about the post-Sondheim American musical, the press seems not to like him.
