A triumphant return to the Proms for Maxim Vengerov after last year's enthralling solo recital. The Russian virtuoso directs the English Chamber Orchestra and appears as soloist in Bach's great double concerto - with Paul Barritt - and one of Mendelssohn's most youthful works. After the interval, a symphony by Mozart and two of his shorter works for violin and orchestra.
