r Michael Berkeley 's guest today is the novelist Ronald Blythe , whose semi-fictional portrait of an East Anglian village, Akenfield, won the Heinemann Award on its publication in 1969. Ronald Blythe has also edited letters and diaries from the Second World War. and his most recent book comprises reminiscences of a group of influential EastAnglian painters. including Paul Nash. His musical choices range from Tallis, Britten and Butterworth to Peter Paul Nash and Cole Porter. Executive producer Wendy Thompson
