Geoffrey Baskerville follows Dussek on his travels through Europe. For two years, Dussek was Kapellmeister to Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia, and he followed his employer from one battlefield to another, playing, drinking and generally living the good life. His Concerto for Two Pianos was premiered the night before the prince's death at the battle of Saalfeld in October 1806.
