A Proms debut, from the Royal Albert Hall, London, for the winner of last year's Sainsbury's Choir of the Year competition. The ensemble is renowned for gospel singing of great fervour, and today they present spirituals and sacred songs, plus the first performance of a work commissioned for this event as part of the competition prize.

Poet and visionary William Blake conversed with angels as readily as with his wife and friends. Simon Rae 's compilation explores the inner life of a man considered insane by many in his own lifetime but who is now recognised as a great poet.
