Three talks by Marghantta Laski , based on her 1974 Frederick Denison Maurice Memorial Lectures.
3: Trinaers, Aims and Targets Nietzsche saw the ordinary social conscience as the herd instinct in the individual. Miss Laski argues that ecstatic experiences create what can be called a higher conscience, one which leads to truth and altruism. She believes that to value both kinds of conscience is a richly challenging task.

Robert Pring-Mill , Fellow of St Catherine's College, Oxford, presents a selection of the poems Of ERNESTO CARDENAL , one of the most notable Latin-American socially committed poets in the generation following that of Neruda. Born in 1925 and ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1965, Cardenal now leads a small progressive commune on an island in Lake Nicaragua. Robert Pring-Mill's English translations of his poems are read by HUGH BURDEN , while the Spanish originals were recorded by the poet himself on a visit to this country.
