At the Poetry International in 1972 W. H. Auden was received with special acclaim, not only for his poetry but also to welcome him on his return to living In England.
In tonight's recording of the occasion he reads a group of recent poems, including ' Loneliness,' 'The Aliens' and ' Song of the Devil.'
