An Opera da Camera production from the Camden Festival Montezuma, a warrior of unknown birth, has conquered Mexico for the Ynca of Peru and, when asked to name his prize, chooses the hand of Orazia. When the Ynca refuses, Montezuma joins forces with Zempoalla, Mexico's usurping Indian queen, and conquers Peru capturing the Ynca and Orazia. But Zempoalla now loves her new champion and wants Orazia sacrificed. Actors:
