The Passage of Time by SHEILA HODGSON
' Ten years ago, and still cold from the cruel loss of my daughter
Eileen, I held a baby in my arms and watched the eyes open to look at me. In that moment I was granted true vision. In that moment God put out his hand and touched me. I knew then the mercy of my Creator. I had been given Eileen back! '

A Personal Memory of the Korean War
"There never was a war like this for bitterness and savagery... old refugee gentlemen with bundles knocked off with a bullet in the neck... commonplace little villages blasted and burned to ashes. Korea is terribly smashed.
What happens now is in the hands of Washington and Moscow. How they handle this problem involves, not just the future of Korea, but yours and mine..."
(James Cameron, 1951)
The war in Korea began in 1950 and lasted for three years. It ended after a long period of diplomatic stalemate with little gained by either side. James Cameron covered the war for Picture Post. He argues that events in Korea set a horrifying pattern of warfare to be repeated in the tragedies of Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
