The war in Korea began in 1950 and lasted for three years. It ended after a long period of diplomatic stalemate with little gained by either side. James Cameron covered the war for Picture Post. He argues that events in Korea set a horrifying pattern of warfare to be repeated in the tragedies of Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia.
The BBCtv production of Timon of Athens will be shown tomorrow evening. Richard Pasco who plays the title role in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of this lesser-known play
