In tonight's episode, Deborah McAndrew visits Boston in Lincolnshire where she meets a pilot at RAF Coningsby who made a miraculous escape from his jet fighter at a speed of 300mph and a height of only 200 feet while on exercise in Wensleydale. She also meets a couple who found true love through the lonely-hearts section of their local newspaper. The hymns, sung in the magnificent Boston Stump church of St Botolph's, include O Worship the King, Lord for the Years, Lord Enthroned in Heavenly Splendour, Be Thou My Vision and In Heavenly Love Abiding.

The most prestigious awards ceremony outside the US is tonight presented by Jonathan Ross.
Among the nominations are Joseph Fiennes, Tom Hanks and Roberto Benigni for best actor and Gwyneth Paltrow, Jane Horrocks and Emily Watson for best actress. A special accolade goes to Elizabeth Taylor, who returns to London to receive the Bafta Followship Award. Her Oscar-winning performance in Butterfield 8 can be seen tonight at 12.25am.
