A year ago, Alan Titchmarsh , Charlie Dimmock and Tommy Walsh were given just two wet and windy days to transform a patchy and very public Whitley Bay front lawn. Beach pebbles, bubbling water and two tons of gravel helped turn it into a low-maintenance seashore gravel garden.
