8.15pm BBC1 It looks like the resident squad at Christmas Street won't be intact for much longer. What with Steve having passed his psychological tests for the Armed Response Unit and Mary's announcement that she's been accepted for CID, the
dysfunctional family unit appears to be falling apart. As this episode opens with a telephoned death threat to an unnamed policeman, it's a very jumpy set of coppers that take to the streets of Manchester.
There's an unselfconscious stylishness to this whole series that allows you to relax into each episode knowing you're going to be delivered a quality product. Tonight's instalment is no exception, with greedy pig Nick's diet underpinning a plot that should have you bolt upright on your sofa.
