EastEnders 7.30pm BBC1
A full 65 minutes of the soap tonight as World Cup mania hits Albert Square and a major storyline erupts. And if that's not enough, there's a 15-minute taster tomorrow evening that prepares the way for next week's episodes.
Roy has managed to get his hands on some World Cup tickets so some of Walford's male population are off to Paris in the hope of seeing some action. Grant is not among them. It's his birthday and it's proving to be an emotional one for him. Feeling nostalgic about his army days, he decides to join the Territorial Army, but it only makes him more depressed. "I'm sick of compromising. I mean, once I was in the Paras, now all I can do is divvy up supplies. Once I had a woman like Sharon, now I've got Tiffany," he tells his brother. Doesn't bode well, does it?
Continuing the sixties drama.
