1941: Henri Young, a prisoner in Alcatraz, finally emerges dazed and terrorised after spending three years in solitary only to brutally murder the man he believes responsible for his ordeal. Facing a charge of murder in the first degree, Young is defended by James Stamphill who is determined to expose the horrific truth about the abuse rife in the notorious prison.
