Tonight's programme follows one British doctor who successfully repairs perforated eardrums. Plus a report on the hi-fi speakers so thin that they can be hung on the wall like a picture. Presented by Howard Stableford and Shahnaz
Pakravan, with Vivienne Parry , Philippa Forrester , Jez Nelson , Rebecca Stephens and Craig Doyle.
Producer Simon Dickson ; Editor Edward Briffa

Franz Schubert was born years ago this month. He knew no public success, never married, and died at the age of 31. He longed for peace and happiness, but in the end found them only in music.
Pianist Andras Schiff visits Vienna and discusses the close connection between Schubert's life and music, especially his neglected piano works. See today's choices.
