Gritty newsman Harry gets his last story of the present series tonight.
But there is good news for his readers and for fans of the drama - a second series, probably of eight episodes, goes into production early next year for probable screening next autumn.
He goes out with a real scoop, which causes a disgraced MP to resign, earns plaudits and more work from his Fleet Street masters and manages to upset his wife and staff back at the news agency in Darlington.
Mick Ford, who as lead writer of the series penned eight of the stories, including this one, appears as Harry's undercover photographer.
