Personnel changes are the order of the day at
Holby City this week. As
Duffy announces her decision to resign (she makes her last appearance in the next episode), Staff Nurse
Mary Skillett arrives on the ward, just in time for an outbreak of chronic dysentery.
Tara Moran , who plays Nurse
Skillett, appeared in Granada's Families for two years and did a six-month stint in Coronation
Street (as Christine Carter ) in 1989. "When I auditioned for
Casualty I came back home feeling very depressed; I was convinced I would never get this job," says Moran. "I'd almost got to the point where I was goingto give it all up and go back to college. Then I got the phone call, and my life had changed completely. I didn't give the idea of packing it in another thought."
