Narrated by David Attenborough

The scene - the beautiful gardens of an English manor house. The time - early spring. By the side of a fountain lies a body....
The body is that of a robin, killed by a rival. Murder and incest, landgrabbing and seduction are all part of the everyday story of the Christmas card robin.
But this year the real-life robin drama has a twist in its tail that may well be unique. Can the story still have a happy ending?

with Sue Cook and Nick Ross Three people died in a fire at a house in Northampton.
Police now know it was arson and are hoping a viewer may recognise the distinctive car seen near the scene of the crime. In Salisbury a gang used specialist drilling equipment in a quarter of a million pound robbery of a post office. Several witnesses may not have realised they saw a crime in progress and could supply crucial clues.
And the tragic murder of 84-year-old Ivy Batten at her home near Honiton in Devon. A pair of gloves and other clues left behind could prompt viewers to lead police to her killer.
Detectives from around the country will be waiting for your call to the Crimewatch studio and police officers Helen Phelps and David Hatcher will report for the Incident Desk.
If you can help, call Crimewatch UK on [number removed]any time from 9 30pm until midnight. Studio director pieter MORPURGO Producer PETER GRIMSDALE Editor RICHIE COGAN
