Prayer.... Using the Imagination (1)
Few of us expect to use our imagination as an aid to prayer.
Fr Gerard W. Hughes , SJ suggests that, if we picture ourselves taking part in a biblical scene, our imagination can produce a deeper consciousness in us through which God can speak.

Coventry v Arsenal
Introduced by Jimmy Hill with Trevor Brooking
George Graham 's forecast, when he took over at
Highbury last year, was that Arsenal could be genuine contenders for the league title within two seasons. The timing looks right.
Last month's 14th successive win set a new Arsenal record. Coventry City did not need a trophy cabinet until they won the FA Cup last May, but all that Sky Blue excitement at Wembley has been hard to follow this season.

Hope and Hallelujah!
At the New Testament
Church of God in Brixton
Pastor Vernon Nelson makes a passionate appeal for a return to the traditional values of the Protestant ethic
- hard work, high moral standards and the honest rewards of material success. His church is packed with obedient young people, joyfully proclaiming the truth of the Gospels and busily making progress with their careers. But are the increasingly popular black-led churches really answering the needs of Britain's black community? With songs and sermons the church members say yes; outsiders, many of them church drop-outs, are not so sure.

Revealed by Lady Wedgwood
A series of explorations into the hidden meaning of three paintings.
At the turn of the 16th century, when religion and politics were inseparable, the message of this deceptively simple picture was political dynamite. Bosch's language of symbols barely conceals a bitter criticism of the authorities of his day.
Beyond the political cartoon are deeper levels of meaning, illuminated by the new spirit of personal enlightenment and salvation that was emerging in late medieval thought. Lady Wedgwood reveals the way in which Bosch builds up a metaphorical picture of the human personality and how it was seen to reflect both the celestial world around us and the divine beyond.

Greenwich Observatory, who has been deeply involved with the project ever since it was first planned.
