Peach Melba!
In Melbourne, Australia, a 6-year-old girl stood on a chair in a local public hall and sang 'Comin' thro' the rye'. Afterwards she asked another little girl if she liked her singing. 'The singing was alright,' she replied coldly, 'but Nellie Mitchell, I saw your drawers!' Nellie was born exactly 125 years ago today - and Janet tells the story of how she became Dame Nellie Melba, one of the greatest opera singers of all time.
