Detectives Cagney and Lacey are put on undercover duty after three taxi drivers have been brutally murdered in New York City. The assignment triggers a family crisis for Mary Beth when her husband and children learn that she is serving as a 'sitting duck' for the killer.

After ten years in England, Helen Walsh leaves her husband and returns to
Belfast. There, against the background of the 'dirty' protest in the Maze, family. personal relationships and politics are mixed up together.
Helen's journey continues within the city, and one night nearly two years later, at the height of the first hunger strike, it reaches its climax and destination.

Very few fathers get custody of their children after a divorce or separation.
Three fathers talk about the difficulties they've had in maintaining a relationship with their children. Mike has legal access to his son and daughter, but only sees his son. Colin has a happy second marriage but has lost touch with the two children of his first.
