Skating Championships from Dortmund
JAYNE TORVILL and CHRISTOPHER DEAN start their defence of the championship in today's three compulsory dances. Tonight's main event is the Pairs free skating which is usually dominated by East German and Soviet skaters, but British champions SUSAN GARLAND and LAN JENKINS hope to improve on last year's sixth position. Coverage also of the Ladies' short programme in which KAREN WOOD competes.

The ' Busby Babes ': 25 years ago this week, Britain lost one of its greatest football teams when an aeroplane crashed at Munich. DUNCAN EDWARDS, ROGER BYRNE and TOMMY TAYLOR were among the eight members of Manchester United's championship winning team who lost their lives, along with three club officials and eight journalists. BARRY DAVIES remembers a team that was called the 'Busby Babes', and seeks out those who survived that terrible ordeal.
