2.40 Language in Action Speak for Yourself
This film is based on an assignment given to a group of fifth-year pupils from Cowley St John School in Oxford in which they find out people's attitudes to work and leisure. Among the people they interview are trainee nurses, a policewoman, a chaplain, a production line worker at British Leyland, a draughtsman and the Mayor of Oxford, who also squeezes into his working life the roles of shop steward, school governor and worker priest. Introduced by Johnny Morris and Terry Nutkins
E.T. - the film everyone is talking about - with the being from outer space that looks unlike any creature you've ever seen before! Or, does it? Johnny and Terry look at some animals with many of the same features that. E.T. has, and they're very closely related to us! And what's the connection between a jet aircraft, a wood ant, a fire engine and a scallop? Better tune in if you want to know the answer.
