from Paisley

Jean Caskie, MBE, a widow, is virtually paralysed by multiple sclerosis and has been confined to hospital for 25 years.
Despite her handicap she has developed her hobby of painting designs on pieces of china which she gives as gifts and sells to raise money for the hospital.
She told James O'Hara her story - however, illness prevented her from joining the choirs and congregations from all over Paisley to sing her favourite hymn in the magnificent Paisley Abbey.

The Lord of heaven confess (Darwall's 148th); O thou who earnest (Hereford); I to the hills (French); The Lord's my shepherd (Crimond); Let all mortal flesh (Picardy); Spirit of God (Ellers); Jesus calls us (St Andrew); Glorious things (Abbots Leigh)

A mecca for superstars, chorus-girls, hoteliers, hookers, brides, grooms and gamblers, Las Vegas, Nevada, is celebrating its 75th birthday. Founded at a desert land-auction in 1905, this city of half-a-million now lives by gambling and showbiz; it is the pleasure capital of North America, probably the world.
The Mayor of Las Vegas, the ' King and Queen', and friends of such notorious Nevada heroes as Bugsy Siegel or Howard Hughes , are joined by Liberace Tony Bennett Neil Sedaka
Anthony Newley and others in this star-spangled portrait of America's adult Disneyland.
