Fit for a Queen
A teddy made of chrysanthemums, a koala bear with a plum for a nose and an owl sitting under a banana moon were just three of the hundreds of stunning floral displays admired by Her Majesty The Queen when she made her first-ever visit to Westminster Cathedral for the International Year of the Child Flower Festival. Blue Peter film cameras were there to record this historic event and so were nine Blue Peter viewers aged from five to 16 -winners of the Flower Picture competition.
For Cristian, Kate, Una, James, Christine, Rebecca, Lesley, Jenny and Sarah, who were all presented to Her Majesty, this particular Friday the 13th was one they'll remember for the rest of their lives!

A candid portrait of life in Westminster, one of England's oldest and most famous public schools.

Westminster School is situated in the heart of London, behind the Abbey, overshadowed by the Houses of Parliament. In 400 years it has produced six prime ministers as well as Ben Jonson, John Dryden, Sir Christopher Wren, Tony Benn, Andrew Lloyd Webber and the spy Kim Philby.

Reporter Fran Morrison has followed four characters through their daily life at Westminster - Simon Target, a senior scholar falling behind in his work; Daisy Goodwin, a sixth-form girl in a school where boys outnumber girls by ten to one; Christopher Potter, a first-year scholar in a dormitory of clever 13-year-olds; and a teacher, Rory Stuart, the young Head of the English Department. They, and Headmaster John Rae, talk frankly about academic pressures, the relationships between boys and girls, and the problems of drink and drugs.

by GEOFFREY CASE with ' I'd stake my reputation on it. These photographs are not faked.' But how could photographs, taken on a simple camera by two Yorkshire village girls, have momentous implications for man's understanding of the world?
Writing, casting, direction and design were all excellent (OBSERVER) Touchingly convincing ... (THE LISTENER) ... a bravura performance by James Grout ... delightful performances from Sarah Wright and Linda Searle.
(THE STAGE AND TELEVISION TODAY)
Shunning all temptation ... to indulge in fey camera capers ... a brisk, compelling narrative ... unforced acting was joined to a strong sense of period.
