The Prague Spring Festival, which was instituted in 1946, lasts for three weeks. The programmes are international in character, though Czech music is naturally well represented. This year Mozart's music was also to the fore, not only because of the bicentenary celebrations but because both Don Giovanni and the Prague Symphony were first performed in that city.

John Bamborough , Fellow of Wadham College, Oxford, speaks about The Two Noble Kinsmen in the context of the apocryphal plays of Shakespeare.
The play is to be broadcast in the Third Programme next week on Sunday and Wednesday.
