Geoffrey Bush, who is mainly self-taught, obtained his doctorate in music eight year& ago at the age of twenty-five; his Trio was written for'the Camden Trio in the summer of last year. Patrick Piggott lives in Wales; he is a young composer and pianist whose keyboard writing is full of lyricism, atmosphere, and subtle dynamics—the fifth prelude, for instance, is an eerie cobweb of sound. Stephen Dodgson, born in 1924, studied under R. O. Morris and Patrick ttadley: his symphony won a prize in the Royal Philharmonic Society's open competition held in 1952. H.C.-J,
