The English Countryside:
Miss V. SACKVILLB WEST
The intention of this series is to illustrate the English heritage in literature by a short weekly anthology based on a central subject, interspersed with comments on the pieces read and their authors. The first programme is a symposium on the English countryside selected by Miss V. Sackville West, whose poem ' 'The Land' has given her a notable place among modern poets who have taken the countryside for their subject.
